Nancy- Great job! I liked that you included so many pictures within this presentation. What I liked most though was your slide reflecting on all that you learned though this experience. I know I learned a lot about technology through this process as well! Also,your right, reading others blogs has taught me so much more about how to teach science!
Yes, it is so important to engage students. I love the idea of "pets" in the classroom. Keeping students interested is the key. The best lessons are where the students are engaged AND having fun at the same time they are learning important content. When a child wants to learn, he or she will succeed so much better than a student that has lost interest and who's only focus is watching the hands on the clock....Nice Job!
Nancy, you did good job putting the material together to the presentation through pictures. I'm always amazing with picture. You must have lots of technology skills to make/find them and putting into the slides. Picture always will be a good thing to keep students visually engaged and mentally interested which lead to great learning of the content.
