Final Presentation

For my final presentation I wanted to create something I haven't done before so I decided to try the prezi.  I enjoyed doing this and I hope you enjoy it too!

Motivating Students In The Science Classroom

  1. Alisa, The prezi was an easy format to follow. With only a sentence or so at a time, it was very simple to focus on the statements and not read ahead or be distracted, etc. I liked that you added in pictures as well. I can tell that you learned a lot from the project. I recognized a lot of points from things we have talked about in class too!

  2. Alisa-
I thought your presentation was very well put together. I too used Prezi and I was not too impressed on how mine turned out because I was unsure how to use some of its devices. However yours turned out great. It was easy to follow and navigate. I could tell what your blog posts were about and the main points in them. Way to go!

  3. I liked how you wrote one sentence about several of your main points. You were very succinct in your decision about what to write. I especially enjoyed the sentences about how students have to 'play with wrong ideas to get the right ones' and that students can be engaged but not mentally engaged. The two aforementioned ideas that you show in your Prezi are ideas that we too have discussed in class, yet they are ideas I hadn't really thought much about before taking my science methods class. I think too often we always want students to have the 'right' answers, but as I've learned from this class, having the right answers really doesn't make us think. Thanks for your insights!

  4. I think you did a nice job with your Prezi. I was able to follow it without being confused. It was very nice, clean, and fluent. I like your choices of pictures as well. All in all, your summary of motivation in the science classroom good. Thanks for sharing!
